Volleyball Recap: Ridge Community Triumphs + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against East Ridge, Ridge Community was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Poinciana Eagles. The Bolts have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

While Ridge Community won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-19, 26-24.

Rihanna Jones paced Ridge Community's offense, picking up ten kills. Jones got some help from Sophia Fetzer and her 12 assists. Ainete Rivera and Jianielix Rodriguez kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Ridge Community's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Poinciana, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ridge Community will welcome Lake Region at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Poinciana, they will face off against Central Pointe Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
