Basketball Game Preview: Mount View Mustangs vs. Morse Shipbuilders

The Mount View Mustangs will take on the Morse Shipbuilders at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Morse took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Mount View, who comes in off a win.

Mount View will head into Saturday's contest on the come-up: they were handed a 21-point defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Saturday. They had just enough and edged Belfast out 51-49. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Mustangs as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Morse was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 32-29 heartbreaker at the hands of Lisbon. That's two games in a row now that the Shipbuilders have lost by exactly three points.

Mount View's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Morse, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

Mount View beat Morse 64-53 in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Morse's Calin Gould, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 boards. Now that he won't be playing on Tuesday, will it be easier for Mount View to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
