After flying high against the Knoxville Central Bobcats last Thursday, the Hardin Valley Academy Hawks came back down to earth. Hardin Valley Academy received a tough blow on Tuesday as they fell 61-47 to William Blount. Hardin Valley Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as William Blount apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
William Blount got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Charlise Scarlett out in front who scored 19 points along with four steals. Scarlett is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Savannah Darnell, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds.
Hardin Valley Academy's loss dropped their record down to 13-12. As for William Blount, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 13-17 record this season.
Hardin Valley Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for William Blount, they will face off against Farragut at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully William Blount focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Tuesday.
