Woodmont is 8-2 against Greenwood since February of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Woodmont Wildcats will face off against the Greenwood Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Woodmont is headed into the matchup having just posted their biggest win since November 22, 2024 on Tuesday. They blew past Easley 53-31.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Greenwood). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Hillcrest 88-28. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 48th, while the Rams are ranked 179th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Woodmont is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.4 points per game. As for Greenwood, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.

Woodmont opened the new year with a less-than-successful 41-32 defeat to Greenwood. Can Woodmont avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
