Preview: Booker Tornadoes vs. Sarasota Sailors
Booker is 8-2 against Sarasota since December of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Booker Tornadoes are on the road again and play against the Sarasota Sailors at 7:30 p.m. on December 7th. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Manatee scored an imposing 58 points on Tuesday, Booker still came out on top. Booker secured a 62-58 W over Manatee. With that win, Booker brought their scoring average up to 51.2 points per game.
Booker got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kaiden Wright out in front who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jovan Palavra, who scored 11 points.
Even though Sarasota has not done well against Braden River recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Sarasota put the hurt on Braden River with a sharp 74-51 win. The victory was familiar territory for Sarasota who now have four in a row.
The losses dropped both teams to an identical 1-3.
Booker came up short against Sarasota when the teams last played back in January, falling 45-40. Can Booker avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
