Basketball Recap: Fort Campbell Comes Up Short

Fort Campbell played a tough matchup on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 75-35 defeat at the hands of the Allen County-Scottsville Patriots. The Falcons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-14.

Tyrek Anthony and Israel Dillard certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Anthony posted 13 points and five boards, while Dillard dropped a double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds. That was a full 37.1% of Fort Campbell's points, marking the third time in a row he's put up more than a third of the team's points.

Fort Campbell is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-19. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points over those games. As for Allen County-Scottsville, their win bumped their record up to 9-14.

Fort Campbell has already played their next game, a 68-57 loss against Heritage Christian Academy on the 10th. Allen County-Scottsville has also already played their next contest (against Russellville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
