Volleyball Recap: Research Triangle Makes It Ten in a Row at Home

Research Triangle had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the North Duplin Rebels by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday.

Research Triangle was especially dominant in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-20, 23-25, 25-9.

Research Triangle found their leader in sophomore Kat Liquorie, who had 27 digs and six aces. Liquorie is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

Research Triangle was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Research Triangle pushed their record up to 20-4 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home. As for North Duplin, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-8 record this season.
