Baseball Preview: Somerset Briar Jumpers vs. Casey County Rebels

Somerset is 9-1 against Casey County since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Briar Jumpers will challenge the Rebels at 6:00 p.m. Somerset will be strutting in after a victory while Casey County will be coming in after a loss.

Somerset took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They came out on top against Glasgow by a score of 8-3. The win was some much needed relief for the Briar Jumpers as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

Connor Roberts spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on 11 hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Somerset let Kole Grundy and Caynan Sizemore run wild.
