Basketball Recap: Wagner Drops Season-High Score on Avon

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wagner). They took down the Avon Pirates 66-52 on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Wagner's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Avon, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Wagner will head out on the road to challenge Ethan at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wagner has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Avon, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Alcester-Hudson at 7:45 p.m. Alcester-Hudson will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Avon surely won't give up without a fight.
