Baseball Game Preview: Aurora Greenmen vs. Gilmour Academy Lancers

The Aurora Greenmen are taking a road trip to face off against the Gilmour Academy Lancers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Aurora will be strutting in after a victory while Gilmour Academy will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with eight losses in a row, Aurora turned things around against Madison on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Blue Streaks with a sharp 6-0 win. The Greenmen not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since April 17th (when they won 14-4).

Not much got past Alex Kaczmarek, who gave up just three hits to keep Madison off the board. Kaczmarek has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Aurora's victory was truly a team effort as eight different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jack Lang, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Gilmour Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Medina on Monday and fell 5-4.

Aurora's win bumped their record up to 7-19. As for Gilmour Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-7.

Aurora took their victory against Gilmour Academy in their previous meeting back in April of 2022 by a conclusive 10-3 score. Will the Greenmen repeat their success, or do the Lancers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
