Murrieta Mesa waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with a 12-7 win over the Murrieta Valley Nighthawks. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 10-2 win last Monday.

Taelyn Holley was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Macy Clark, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one double.

Murrieta Mesa was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .394. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .394 or higher in six consecutive games.

Murrieta Mesa's victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-6-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games.
