It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Corsicana ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 win over Terrell. The victory was some much needed relief for Corsicana as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Corsicana's win bumped their record up to 6-12-1. As for Terrell, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.

Corsicana and Terrell could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Corsicana will square off against Midlothian Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Friday down 575 places (673 vs. 98). Meanwhile, Terrell (ranked 843rd) will meet Crandall (ranked 151st) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
