After a string of five wins, Williamsburg's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 57-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pineville Mountain Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Yellow Jackets of the 72-67 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.

Williamsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Pineville, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. It'll be a Battle of the Bugs the Williamsburg Yellow Jackets duke it out with the Middlesboro Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pineville, they will host Harlan at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Pineville is facing Harlan at the right time seeing as Harlan is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
