Soccer Recap: West Bend West Comes Up Short

West Bend West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Appleton East Patriots. The result was an unpleasant reminder to West Bend West of the 8-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

West Bend West's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Appleton East, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-7-1.

Looking ahead, West Bend West will venture away from home to face off against Grafton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Appleton East, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 2-2 draw against Menomonee Falls on the 3rd.
