United Soccer Coaches/MaxPreps State Players of the Week: February 1-7

America's source for high school sports and leading soccer organization partnering to recognize top performers on the pitch.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – United Soccer Coaches and MaxPreps announced Thursday the 10 athletes that have been named United Soccer Coaches/MaxPreps High School State Players of the Week for their on-pitch efforts from Feb. 1-7.

Results and statistics provided by MaxPreps.com are used to help recognize one boy and one girl from each participating state competing during the winter season.

Coaches wanting to nominate players must submit statistics to MaxPreps in order for their athletes to be considered. Winners receive a MaxPreps/United Soccer Coaches branded letterman's patch and recognition on both MaxPreps and UnitedSoccerCoaches.org.

Nominations are due each Sunday by 11:59 p.m. ET to be considered. Here are this week's winners:



Arizona

Boys
Scored seven goals and added an two assists in a pair of wins last week.

Girls
Eight goals and seven assists in two shutouts.

Florida

Boys
Six goals and two assists in two wins during last week.

Girls
Twenty-two saves throughout two shutouts during their two outings.

Louisiana



Boys
In goal for two wins, recorded fourteen saves including one shut out.

Girls
Three goals and three assists in a 9-1 victory over St. Martin's Episcopal.

Mississippi


Boys
Recorded three goals and one assist in a 7-2 victory against Resurrection Catholic.

Girls

Four goals in a 6-0 victory over Mooreville.

Texas


Boys
Ten goals and one assist through three victories during the week.

Girls
A scoring machine, Zdrojewski poured in 11 goals in two games including eight in a 14-1 victory over Ford.
