Volleyball Game Preview: Meridian Hawks vs. Maroa-Forsyth Trojans

Meridian hasn't had much luck against Maroa-Forsyth recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Hawks will face off against the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Meridian will be strutting in after a win while Maroa-Forsyth will be coming in after a defeat.

On Monday, Meridian beat Okaw Valley 2-0. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Timberwolves recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Meridian easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Maroa-Forsyth didn't have quite enough to beat Warrensburg-Latham on Monday and fell 2-1.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Maroa-Forsyth sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-23, 19-25, 25-10.

Maroa-Forsyth's loss dropped their record down to 18-11. As for Meridian, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 14-17.

Meridian couldn't quite get it done against Maroa-Forsyth when the teams last played back in September as they fell 2-0. Can the Hawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
