Baseball Recap: Arlington Admirals vs. John Jay Patriots

Arlington extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping their season record down to 4-5 in the process. They fell 6-2 to the John Jay Patriots. The Admirals were not able to make up for their loss to the Patriots from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Arlington got a good showing from Karl Blabac, who pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Christian Anderson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. DJ Mulvany was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

At the plate, Marc Cretara was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Another player making a difference was Ayden Vitale, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Looking ahead, Arlington is taking a road trip to take on Hendrick Hudson at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for John Jay, they will face off against North Rockland at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Patriots will need to watch out since the Raiders have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
