Basketball Recap: Hunterdon Central Takes a Loss

Hunterdon Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 63-58 heartbreaker at the hands of the Ridge Red Devil. While losing is never fun, the Red Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 223rd, while the Red Devil are ranked 11th).

Hunterdon Central's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Ridge, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1.

When Hunterdon Central and Ridge next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Hunterdon Central will try to stop West Windsor-Plainsboro North's 11-game winning streak when the meet at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Ridge will take on Caldwell and their seven-game winning streak at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday.
