Softball Recap: Jurupa Valley Comes Up Short

If Jurupa Valley was feeling good fresh off their 20-1 takedown of Norte Vista last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Jaguars lost 10-4 to the Colton Yellowjackets on Friday.

Jurupa Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Colton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jurupa Valley will face off against Rubidoux at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Falcons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.67 runs per game on average), something the Jaguars will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Colton, they will head out on the road to square off against Xavier Prep at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. The Yellowjackets are facing the Saints at the right time seeing as the Saints are stuck on a 13-game losing streak.
