After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Brookfield, Newtown was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Everything went their way against the Notre Dame Prep Lancers as they made off with a 12-5 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Nighthawks considering their one-run performance the match before.

Newtown has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Notre Dame Prep, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-16 record this season.

Notre Dame Prep will take on Norwalk at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bears' pitching crew has only allowed 1.6 runs per game this season, so the Lancers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
