Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Detroit Country Day). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Notre Dame Prep Fighting Irish 88-40. The Yellowjackets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 21 points or more this season.

Notre Dame Prep's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Emily Teolis, who posted 15 points, and Kaylyn Sowers, who had 17 points. That was a full 42.5% of Notre Dame Prep's points, marking the sixth time in a row Sowers has earned more than a third of the team's points.

Detroit Country Day has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That somehow still isn't as good as their 19-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.6 points over those games. Notre Dame Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 14-8.

Coming up, Detroit Country Day will face off against Regina at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Regina comes in on seven and Detroit Country Day on six. Notre Dame Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
