Football Preview: Golden Demons vs. Lakewood Tigers        
        
		
             After two games on the road, Golden is heading back home. They will host the Lakewood Tigers  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Golden will be strutting in after a  win while Lakewood will be coming in after a  defeat.
 Golden's defense heads into the  matchup  hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed  on Friday. They blew past Poudre 23-0.
 Golden's success was spearheaded by the efforts of   Thatcher Matthews, who rushed for 89 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, and   Colin Meier, who rushed for 83 yards.
 Golden wouldn't let Poudre keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Golden can thank  Liam Leffert and  Noah Limback for forcing both of them. Leffert also set a new season high mark in  total tackles with six. Another thorn in Poudre's side was  Cash Hansen, who made five total tackles (2.0 for loss) and snagged  two  interceptions.
 Meanwhile, Lakewood was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their 14th straight  loss  dating back to last season. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost  49-0 to Fountain-Fort Carson, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Colorado football rankings  (they are ranked 157th, while the Trojans are ranked 45th).
 The  victory  got Golden back to even at 2-2. As for Lakewood, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
