Football Recap: Templeton Piles Up the Points Against Gonzales + How To Watch

While Templeton put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Gonzales. The Eagles blew past the Spartans, posting a 35-0 win. That looming 35-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Eagles yet this season.

Special teams played a big role in the game for Templeton, adding 11 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Tyler Cunningham, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

The victory (which was Templeton's third in a row) raised their record to 3-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.0 points over those games. As for Gonzales, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Templeton and Gonzales will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Eagles see the field they'll take on Atascadero at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. As for Gonzales, their break will end when they face Rancho San Juan at 7:30 p.m. on October 10.
