Baseball Recap: Southern Regional Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Southern Regional had lost four games straight , but after bumping their record up to 6-11 on Saturday that streak is in the rearview. Everything went their way against the Vineland Fighting Clan as they made off with an 8-2 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Rams also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2023.

As for Vineland, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-9 record. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Vineland's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dawson Carter, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Carter has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played. Ernie Bernhardt was another, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Southern Regional does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Vineland, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Kingsway at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
