Softball Game Preview: Exeter Tigers vs. Lamar Tigers

Exeter will challenge Lamar at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Exeter has given up an average of 7.7 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Exeter had been on a four-game streak of scoring at least ten runs, but Lockwood put an end to it on Monday. Exeter came up short against Lockwood, falling 16-0. Exeter's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Lamar couldn't beat Stockton on Monday even though they stacked six runs on them in the sixth inning. Lamar fell 13-10 to Stockton. Like Exeter, Lamar also had to let a streak go: they had won three straight, but that streak is no more.

Peyton Eddie was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Maylee Rawlings was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Lamar's loss dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Exeter, they now have a losing record of 11-12.
