Volleyball Recap: Saydi Walker and Natalie Peak Secure Win for Mansfield

On Saturday Mansfield's undefeated season almost came to an end. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Springtown Porcupines. While the Tigers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 14-28), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Leading Mansfield to victory were Natalie Peak and Saydi Walker. Peak had 14 digs and three assists, while Walker had 11 assists and six digs. That's the most digs Walker has posted over her last two contests.

Mansfield's victory bumped their record up to 11-0. As for Springtown, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 10-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mansfield is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Keller Central at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Springtown, they will head out to take on Holliday at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
