Recap: Angola Hornets vs. DeKalb Barons
The Angola Hornets lost against the DeKalb Barons back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Angola took a 28-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of DeKalb.
Although Angola took the loss, they still got scores from Dallas Davidson and Micah Steury.
Caiden Hinkle had an outrageously good game for DeKalb as he rushed for 245 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 55 yards and two touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes. Hinkle was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 56 yards. Another player making a difference was Xavier Bell, who picked up 73 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Angola's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for DeKalb, their win was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 6-4.
Angola does not have any more games scheduled as of now. DeKalb will be playing in front of their home fans against Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
