Volleyball Recap: Southern Wake Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Southern Wake Academy had taken Ascend Leadership down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Lions took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Aviators. The Lions just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

While Southern Wake Academy had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-23, 22-25, 25-20.

Defeat or not, Southern Wake Academy got some senior leadership from Meredith Holcombe and Brooklyn Taylor. Holcombe had 16 digs and one assist, while Taylor had 21 assists and eight kills. Those eight kills set a new season-high mark for Taylor.

Southern Wake Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Ascend Leadership, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
