Basketball Game Preview: Wapanucka Indians vs. Tupelo Tigers

Wapanucka hasn't had much luck against Tupelo recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Wapanucka Indians will take on the Tupelo Tigers at 8:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Wapanucka is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 12th straight game dating back to last season back in December of 2024. They had to suffer through a 73-15 loss at the hands of Calvin.

Meanwhile, Tupelo unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Stratford by a score of 47-45. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Tigers came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 101st, while the Bulldogs are ranked 257th).

Wapanucka's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Tupelo, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-5.

Wapanucka was taken down by Tupelo 68-37 when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Wapanucka avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
