Baseball Recap: East Windsor Comes Up Short

East Windsor had lost 12 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Saturday they dropped their record down to 3-15 to make it 13. They lost 10-0 to the Ellington Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 back in April.

As for Ellington, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. Considering they have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

For Ellington's part, they got a big performance out of Chase Thomas, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. That's the most stolen bases Thomas has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Killoran, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Coming up, East Windsor will square off against Lewis Mills at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.63 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Ellington, they will take on East Granby at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
