Softball Game Preview: Hamilton County Foxes vs. Pinckneyville Panthers

The Hamilton County Foxes will head out to square off against the Pinckneyville Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Last Friday, Hamilton County came up short against Anna-Jonesboro and fell 10-6.

Tinlea Webb made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-4. Saylor Brown was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Pinckneyville put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with an 8-4 victory over Wesclin.

Hamilton County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Pinckneyville, their win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

Hamilton County came out on top in a nail-biter against Pinckneyville in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, sneaking past 6-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hamilton County since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
