Football Recap: Huntsville Comes Up Short + How To Watch

While it was all tied up 14-14 at halftime, Huntsville was not quite Florence's equal in the second half on Friday. The game between the Panthers and the Falcons didn't end well, with the Panthers falling 45-29. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost nine in a row.

Wyatt Smith threw for 144 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Bryson Grissom was his top target, picking up 71 receiving yards and one TD. On the ground, X'Avion Drake rushed for 96 yards and one score on only 13 carries.

Carson Johnson was a one-man wrecking crew For Florence. as he rushed for 159 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also picked up 38 receiving yards and one score.

Huntsville's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Florence, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

That contest will pit two of the most dominant wideouts against one another: Grissom and Rhys Dorsey. Meanwhile, Florence will take on rival Sparkman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
