Basketball Recap: Smith Center Redmen vs. Ellis Railroaders
After losing to Ellis the last time they met, Smith Center decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Smith Center Redmen had just enough and edged the Ellis Railroaders out 41-38. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Redmen.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Smith Center to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kayln Ifland, who went 8 for 14 en route to 18 points and six steals. Smith Center's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-5. As for Ellis, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.
