Volleyball Game Preview: Hialeah Educational Academy Biggie vs. Divine Savior Academy Sharks

Hialeah Educational Academy is 0-6 against Divine Savior Academy since September of 2017 but things could change on Thursday. The Biggie will square off against the Sharks at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Hialeah Educational Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Pinecrest Glades Academy. The win was some much needed relief for the Biggie as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

Hialeah Educational Academy found their leader in sophomore Brianna Cruz, who had four digs and four aces. Cruz is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last five games she's played. Kayla Reiner also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.

Meanwhile, Divine Savior Academy made easy work of Academy for Innovative Education on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

The win got Hialeah Educational Academy back to even at 11-11. As for Divine Savior Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 25-1.

Hialeah Educational Academy might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Divine Savior Academy when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Biggie avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
