Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Campbell walked away with it. They won by a run and slipped past the Gilford Golden Eagles 3-2. Three seems to be a good number for Campbell as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

The victory made it two in a row for Campbell and bumps their season record up to 14-7. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.5 runs across that stretch. As for Gilford, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

Campbell will take on Bishop Brady on Saturday. The Giants will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Campbell surely won't give up without a fight. Gilford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
