Football Recap: Benson Finds Playoff Glory Versus Globe + How To Watch

With a playoff win on the line, Benson rose to the challenge on Friday. They claimed a resounding 49-6 win over the Globe Tigers. Considering the Bobcats have won five contests by more than 33 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Dawson Judd was his usual excellent self, throwing for 307 yards and six touchdowns on only 17 passes, while also rushing for 31 yards. That's the most passing yards he has posted since back in September. Rene Lorta helped out on the ground, rushing for 127 yards.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Benson proved: they limited Globe to a paltry 2.8 yards per carry. The team can thank Andrew Workman for the heroic effort on defense: he. Benson didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 13.1.

Benson's defense didn't let Jaeger Franco, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Abraham Figuroa and Tyson Kilpatrick, who racked up five sacks between them. Workman was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making 11 total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Benson is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
