Basketball Recap: Sweet Grass County Takes a Loss

Sweet Grass County lost against Columbus back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Sweet Grass County Sheepherders took a 48-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Columbus Cougars. The contest marked the Sheepherders' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Sweet Grass County now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Columbus, their win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Sweet Grass County will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Manhattan at 4:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. As for Columbus, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Lodge Grass at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
