Basketball Recap: Randy Garcia's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Reedley over Madera + How To Watch

After flying high against Mariposa County on Saturday, Reedley came back down to earth. The Pirates took a 65-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Madera Coyotes on Tuesday. The Pirates have struggled against the Coyotes recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Several Pirates players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Randy Garcia, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 13 boards. Another player making a difference was Gregory McGregor, who shot 80% from the field to rack up 17 points.

Stevie Estrada was a one-man wrecking crew For Madera. as he went 14-for-25 en route to 29 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Rodriguez, who posted 12 points and seven assists.

Reedley now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Madera, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Looking ahead, Reedley will take on Pioneer Valley in a tournament on Thursday. As for Madera, they will head out on the road to square off against Madera South at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
