Voorheesville snaps three-game streak of wins at home

Recap: Voorheesville Blackbirds vs. Catholic Central Crusaders

After a string of five wins, the Voorheesville Blackbirds's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They were outmatched by Catholic Central at home and fell 92-47. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Voorheesville has scored all season.

Catholic Central found their leader in underclassman Darien Moore, who shot 6-for-9 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 38 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Moore has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sei'Mir Roberson, who scored 17 points along with two steals.

Voorheesville's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-6. As for Catholic Central, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Voorheesville will take on Mechanicville at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Catholic Central on the road again on Saturday and play against Bishop Ludden at 4:00 p.m. on January 13th. Bishop Ludden is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
