Football Recap: Southern Prep Academy Takes a Loss

Southern Prep Academy had lost three straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 0-5 to make it four. They were dealt a 48-12 loss at the hands of the Macon-East Montgomery Academy Knights. The Rangers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Knights from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

As for Macon-East Montgomery Academy, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0. Fans of they have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Macon-East Montgomery Academy found their leader in sophomore Brandon Fitch, who rushed for 77 yards and one score on only nine carries, and also threw for 109 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes.

Looking ahead, Southern Prep Academy will venture away from home to take on Heritage Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rangers will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 49.25 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Macon-East Montgomery Academy, they will face off against Snook Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests.
