Volleyball Recap: Peyton Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Peyton was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of South Park on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers lost 3-0 to the Genoa-Hugo/Karval Pirates on Tuesday. The Panthers were not able to make up for their loss to the Pirates from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

While Peyton ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-20, 25-20.

When it comes to explaining why Peyton lost, don't look at Brynlee Ray. Despite the final result, she had 15 digs. Ray is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Peyton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Genoa-Hugo/Karval, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-3.

Peyton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Thomas MacLaren School on the 18th. As for Genoa-Hugo/Karval, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Burlington on the 18th.
