Football Game Preview: Medfield Warriors vs. Nipmuc Regional Warriors

Medfield will head out to challenge Nipmuc Regional at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Medfield will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak dating back to last season.

Last Friday, Medfield got the win against Hopkinton by a conclusive 35-12.

Medfield relied on the efforts of Brady McCormack, who gained 227 total yards, and Owen Sokolowski, who rushed for 33 yards and one TD. The dominant performance also gave Sokolowski a new career-high in passing touchdowns (two).

Meanwhile, Nipmuc Regional came up short against Uxbridge on Friday and fell 47-35. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Spartans: they've now lost three in a row.

Medfield will have to contain Josh Giancola as he made an impact in Nipmuc Regional's last game. He rushed for 97 yards and three scores on only 12 carries. Tyler Rainbow made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Nipmuc Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Medfield, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.
