Lewisburg gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 16-5 margin over the East Juniata Tigers. The victory was some much needed relief for the Green Dragons as it spelled an end to their 20-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Cohen Hoover was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single hit and allowed only one earned run while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single hit, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
