Basketball Recap: Brookfield's Win Ends Ten-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Brookfield's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They blew past the Liberty Leopards 45-22. The Warriors' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

MaRae Craig had a dynamite game for Brookfield, going 6 of 10 on her way to 21 points and three steals. Craig is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Lapikas, who posted nine points.

Brookfield was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Brookfield's victory ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-4. As for Liberty, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-5.

Brookfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 82-13 defeat against Crestview on the 17th. As for Liberty, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 37-18 loss against Newton Falls on the 17th.
