Soccer Recap: South Williamsport Takes a Loss

South Williamsport managed to keep up with Central Mountain until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Mountaineers came up short against the Wildcats, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to South Williamsport of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for South Williamsport and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Central Mountain, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

South Williamsport wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Wellsboro on the 30th. As for Central Mountain, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Penns Valley Area on the 30th.
