Softball Recap: Lake Has No Trouble Against Scott Central

While Lake put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Scott Central. The Hornets were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the Rebels. The Hornets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by six runs or more this season.

Daelyn Earls was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and one triple. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Adyson Mcknight was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and two runs.

Lake was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .609. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Lake's victory bumped their record up to 13-9. As for Scott Central, they dropped their record down to 6-11 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Lake will venture away from home to face off against West Lauderdale at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Scott Central, they will take on Leake County at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Gators have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 20.08 runs per game on average), something the Rebels will no doubt try to take advantage of.
