Soccer Recap: Los Angeles Comes Up Short

Los Angeles and Franklin squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Los Angeles had to settle for second. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Franklin Panthers who were credited with the win. The Franklin Panthers got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to the Los Angeles Romans' one. One reason for the loss might be the Romans' aggressive play style: Angel Estevez and Keven Sanchez were both handed yellow cards.

Los Angeles' loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Franklin, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-5.

Los Angeles does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Franklin, they will take on Huntington Park at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Huntington Park will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Franklin surely won't give up without a fight.
