Recap: Armstrong River Hawks vs. Deer Lakes Lancers
The Armstrong River Hawks couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of Deer Lakes by a score of 56-53. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Armstrong in their matchups with Deer Lakes: they've now lost three in a row.
Despite the loss, Armstrong still got an impressive performance from Ian Olsen, who scored 13 points along with 8 rebounds and 6 steals. Another player making a difference was Ben Bartolovic, who scored 13 points.
Armstrong's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Deer Lakes, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
