Softball Recap: Midland Comes Up Short

If Midland was feeling good fresh off their 20-4 takedown of Hathaway last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rebels came up short against the Lafayette Lions on Monday, falling 20-1.

Midland saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mackenzie Credeur, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1. Credeur has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played.

Midland's loss dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Lafayette, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.

Midland will face off against New Iberia at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lafayette does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
