Baseball Recap: Hartshorne Comes Up Short

Hartshorne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 7-2 to the Latta Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Miners of the 9-7 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Malachi Sunagoowie made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. That triple marked the first that he hit this season.

Hartshorne's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Latta, their victory bumped their record up to 11-9.

Coming up, Hartshorne will look to defend their home field on Friday against Antlers at 2:00 p.m. As for Latta, they will head out on the road to challenge Konawa at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
